The only issue I have - which is different in the Faxon and Smoke Composites - is there are just thin holes in the carbon fiber with little bolts holding it to the metal mounting ring. I fear flexing will tear up those little holes.That barrel nut you turned down, tap 4 screw holes in a cross pattern. Repeat this on the carbon fiber tube. Install barrel nut, gas tube, and gas block. Smoke Composites has an off the shelf 7.25" which "might" work but it'd be tight trying to get fingers in there to adjust the gas with a suppressor on.
