Server only affects the guilds you can join and the Auction house. So choose the highest population one with the faction balance towards what you want to play. This will give you the widest selections of guilds to join, and the healthiest auction house, and there are really no negatives.There's usually guilds and communities dedicated to it, and people use addons such as TRP to write profiles and so on to supplement the experience. On EU the only "real" RP server left is Argent Dawn, the rest are either dead or are RP realms only in name. It's majority Alliance but plenty of Horde stuff too.Emerald Dream is your best bet for balanced and active. It's been tilting more to horde pretty strongly since BFA and warmode after being nearly perfectly 50/50 during WoD and much of Legion but it's still far better then the other rp servers. It IS however a former Rp-PvP server which means it's roleplay community is not quite what others will be.It is the best private server I've ever played. Dalaran-Wow has been my default server for the past 6-7 years, and it is great too, just low pop now.
