I'm way late to the Ryzen party but i got a used Ryzen 5 1400 machine after my Phenom II x4 b55 platform died. I tinkered with it a lot in my free time,but i'm wondering what is the safe temperature range,mine runs at 1.25v,3.5ghz,idles at 35-40c and while gaming for hours it gets up to 65c with the wraith stealth,my ambient temperature is really high now though,probably close to 30c at times. That’s a better fan curve, but you can increase the flat line section in very small increments until you can hear it, then lower it one increment & leave it there - you may get slightly more RPM than 20% & hence better cooling. Update: I found temperature makes more sense when in BIOS (around 42-47 degrees)The increased temperature difference increases heat transfer rate. With an increased heat transfer rate the cooler is more efficient. And as Ryzen 7000 does not punish running at 95 °C with lowered boost clocks the way the previous generations did I would expect that a lot of coolers will perform better on 7000 than they did on 3000 and 5000.Motherboard maker monitor apps use more resources than say HWInfo does. Your 5700G has a PPT of 88W, a max boost clock of 4.6 (I think?), and a thermal limit of probably 90 or 95C. 5700g has 8 cores on a single ccx similar to a 5700x. 8 core amd cpus have high temperature spikes - even at idle. low utilization = high boost clock on limited cores 5700g is also a 65w stock tdp, so that's probably why turning off pbo didnt help (it doesnt boost very high to begin with) 22-28C.
